In Memory of JSC Civil Servants

Astronaut John Fabian died on May 21, 2026 in Ludlow, WA at the age of 87.

He flew on STS-7 and STS-51-G missions and worked on the development of the Shuttle's robotic arm. He later led the Air Force's space operations.

Charles died on May 18, 2026 at the age of 80.  He had a 39 year career with NASA beginning at Langley in the late 60s and ending at JSC.

John passed peacefully on May 17, 2026 at the age of 97. John was a Space Task Force member who came to Houston with Gilruth and Kraft.

Marian passed away on May 10, 2026 at the age of 86. She retired from NASA after a 20-year career at JSC.

George passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 88. He retired from NASA after a 37-year career at MSC/JSC.

Mel passed away on May 4, 2026. He retired from NASA after a 25 plus-year career at MSC/JSC.

Lucille passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of 92. She retired from NASA after a 25-year career at MSC/JSC.

Boyd passed away on March 24, 2026 at the age of 92. He retired from NASA after a 40-year career at MSFC/MSC/JSC.

Jim passed away on March 28, 2026.    He retired from NASA after a 29-year career at MSC/JSC.

A celebration of life for Jim will be held July 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Water's Edge, 3901 NASA Rd 1, El Lago.  In true Jim Fashion, please wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, Leis, and Flip-Flops.

Ivy passed away on March 23, 2026 at the age of 84. She worked at MSC/JSC from 1965 to 1983.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.
