Who Can Join

The membership of the NAL-JSC is open to:

Former federal civil service employees of NASA or the Jet Propulsion Lab.
A current federal civil service employee of NASA or the Jet Propulsion Lab who is in either the Deferred Retirement or Resignation Programs.
Any former federal civil service employee of another federal government agency, including U.S. military service, who served an extended detail assignment at JSC for one year or longer.
Any other person who was employed by NASA as a “Special Employee” for the purpose of accomplishing a special focused assignment at JSC lasting one year or more.

JSC Retiree Badge

NAL-JSC has an agreement with JSC management to provide our former JSC members a JSC Retiree badge with the member’s picture. The badge is valid for one year with before needing to be renewed or returned to JSC Security. The badge is obtained in JSC building 110 at the main gate. The badge is for access to JSC only and is not valid for use at any of the other NASA centers. A JSC Retiree badge is not available for NASA Employees while in the Deferred Retirement or Resignation Programs.

Membership Levels

We have 2 membership categories: Annual and Lifetime. Both are equal in membership benefits. Two of the Annual Individual levels include an additional dollar donation with the yearly dues.

How to Apply for Membership with a Credit Card

NASA Employees in the Deferred Retirement or Resignation Programs (DRP) can apply for any of the membership application levels shown below. Once the application is reviewed and approved, no payment is required until the official separation date. At that later time an invoice will be emailed for payment.

To begin, select the desired level then click "Next" and the complete and submit the application for membership. When your application is reviewed to verify that the criteria for membership is met, you will receive an email with an invoice for the "MEMBERSHIP DUES ONCE APPROVED" amount shown for each level. The invoice can then be paid online with a credit card. NAL-JSC does not retain credit card information.

Application for Individual + $70 Subscription period: Unlimited MEMBERSHIP DUES ONCE APPROVED IS $100 A YEAR. (Includes annual dues plus $70 donation).

Application for Individual + $70 with Auto-Renew Subscription period: Unlimited MEMBERSHIP DUES ONCE APPROVED IS $100 A YEAR. (Includes annual dues plus $70 donation). CREDIT CARD IS CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY ON RENEWAL DATE.

Application for Lifetime Subscription period: Unlimited MEMBERSHIP DUES ONCE APPROVED IS $500. (One-time payment for lifetime membership.)

How to Renew Your Membership With a Credit Card

To renew your membership, log into this Website. Your User ID is the email address you provided NAL. Once you log into the website, click on your name, then click on "View Profile" page. Within 1 month of your renewal date you have the option on the Profile page to change to a different membership level or even a membership level that automatically bills your credit card yearly when it's time to renew.

If you prefer, you can send an email to NAL-JSC Communications requesting to renew over the phone. The Chairperson for NAL-JSC membership will call you to collect your credit card information.

How to Join, Renew, or Donate with a Check

Creating a NAL account and paying by credit card unlocks many user benefits on this website. If you're unable to create a NAL account, please click here to download this PAPER APPLICATION. Fill it out, mail it and your check per the instructions shown on the form. If you're making an additional donation you can combine it with your membership dues on one check.

The NASA Alumni League is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization. As such, membership dues and donations to the JSC Chapter may be tax deductible for federal income tax returns. Consult your tax advisor as appropriate. In accordance with Internal Revenue Service requirements, we are disclosing that no goods or services were provided in return for dues or donation.
