John passed away on June 20, 2026 at the age of 92. He retired from NASA after a 39 plus-year career at MSC/JSC.

Astronaut John Fabian died on May 21, 2026 in Ludlow, WA at the age of 87.

He flew on STS-7 and STS-51-G missions and worked on the development of the Shuttle's robotic arm. He later led the Air Force's space operations.
