The NASA Alumni League has had a long-standing and impactful relationship with Space Center Houston. Join us this month as Ms. Amelia Kleiman from SCH brings us the latest highlights about SCH and our mutual interests.
Amelia has served in the Development Office at SCH since Spring 2023. Her focus is connecting prospects, members, and donors to discuss supporting Space Center Houston and securing planned gifts to ensure the legacy of human space flight is preserved for future generations.
She has over 30 years’ experience in fundraising, including Planned Giving, Major Gifts, and Capital Campaigns. Amelia is a published author and a sought-after speaker on a myriad of topics in fundraising, non-profit leadership, and consulting. She received her BA from the University of Denver and has an MBA/JD from the University of Houston. She practiced law for 8 years before transitioning to non-profit work. She has never been happier.
Amelia is a 3rd-generation native Houstonian whose family had a weekend home in Bacliff for over 75 years. She is also an active community volunteer. Amelia is a proud mom to Brett, who lives in Washington, DC, and daughter Jacklyn, a junior at Arizona State University. She loves to travel, especially to baseball stadiums (she only has 5 left to visit) and National Parks, especially in the Western USA.
