Steven G. Labbe is the Director of Engineering at Intuitive Machines, LLC where he serves as the Chief Engineer for their Nova-C Lunar Lander Systems development, which is slated to fly two missions to the lunar surface in response to NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) Task Orders.

Intuitive Machines (IM) was awarded two NASA contracts as part of the NASA’s CLPS initiative, in which NASA is securing the service of commercial partners to quickly land science and technology payloads on the lunar surface. The initiative is a key part of NASA’s Artemis program. IM is tasked with the launch, transport, landing and operation of all the elements necessary to complete the experiments and securely return the scientific data to Earth.

Leveraging these awards, IM is focused on the goal of becoming the premier cis-lunar payload services company for government, academia and commercial customers. To achieve this goal, IM has established the Lunar Payload and Data Services (LPDS) Program which has developed and fielded all the necessary elements for executing these lunar missions. Mr. Labbe’s presentation will highlight the progress IM has made in these endeavors and the future of commercial lunar exploration and utilization.
