November 5 - Dr. Scott Greenwald, Sr. Vision Scientist in NASA's Cardiovascular and Vision Laboratory, will present "How a headward fluid shift in weightlessness may cause spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome (SANS)


Approximately 20% of astronauts on the ISS experience vision problems  during a mission, the SANS condition. Some vision changes go away after return to Earth, but some are permanent. Dr. Greenwald  will discuss NASA's latest thinking on this troublesome companion to spaceflight.
