John passed away on May 26, 2025 at the age of 87. He retired from NASA after a 33-year career at Space Task Group/MSC/JSC.

His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on June 19 at the Clear Lake Presbyterian Church (1511 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, TX) followed by a reception to celebrate his life.
